Vigilance DAO is dedicated to protecting the Web3 ecosystem from scams and fraudulent activities. If you encounter a suspicious website that may be involved in seed phishing or any other fraudulent practices, you can report it using the Vigilance DAO Chrome extension. Follow these steps to report a website and provide evidence:
Install the Vigilance DAO Chrome Extension: If you haven't already, install the Vigilance DAO Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Ensure it is enabled and visible in your browser's toolbar.
Visit the Suspicious Website: Access the website you believe is engaging in fraudulent activities such as seed phishing. For eg: approval-sync[dot]com
Capture Screenshot: Take a screenshot of the webpage where the website asks for seed phrases. This screenshot will serve as evidence to support your report. Ensure that the screenshot clearly shows the request for seed phrases.
Open Vigilance DAO Chrome Extension: Click on the Vigilance DAO Chrome extension icon in your browser's toolbar to open the extension's interface.
Click on "Report": Within the Vigilance DAO Chrome extension interface, locate and click on the "Report" button. This will initiate the reporting process.
Upload Screenshot and give justification: In the report form, you will find an option to upload files or screenshots. Click on it and select the screenshot you captured in step 3. This will attach the screenshot as evidence to your report.
Connect Your Wallet: To complete the report, connect your wallet to the Vigilance DAO Chrome extension. This step ensures that you have a stake in the process and helps prevent false reporting. Follow the instructions provided by the extension to connect your wallet securely.
Submit Report: Once your wallet is connected, review the information in the report form, ensure all details are accurate, and click on the "Submit" button. Your report, along with the attached screenshot, will be sent to Vigilance DAO for review and action.
By following these steps and providing clear evidence, such as a screenshot showing the website's request for seed phrases, you contribute to the efforts of Vigilance DAO in identifying and mitigating fraudulent activities in the Web3 ecosystem.
